The history, values, and heirs of the Gijduvan ceramics school
The Gijduvan ceramics school is one of the oldest and most prestigious craft centers in the world. Our history is closely connected with the Narzullaev dynasty, which has been continuously carried on for 7 generations.
Each dish embodies the secrets of our ancestors, the warmth of local clay, and the heartfelt craftsmanship of our masters. We do not simply create ceramic wares – we imprint invaluable history into clay.
A combination of international standards and traditional style
A unique style included in the UNESCO list
Each creation is a story woven from history, inspired by nature, and crafted by devoted masters of this sacred craft passed down from generation to generation. Our family has been preserving the rich artistic heritage of Gijduvan for several centuries.
From elegant ceramic vessels to vibrant embroidery and enchanting carpets, each piece reflects the master’s soul and the richness of our culture. It is not merely a work of art, but a true treasure created based on ancient traditions and passed down through generations.
“Uzbekistan is first country in the world where handicrafts have been elevated to the level of state policy and are personally supported by the head of country.”
Craftsmanship in Uzbekistan encompasses more than 30 fields, among which ceramics, embroidery, carpet weaving, and gold embroidery are considered forms of applied art that reflect the beautiful and distinctive culture of our people. We are proud to continue and develop these traditions at our Gijduvan Crafts Center.
At our crafts center, we create unique works of art where ancient and modern traditions harmoniously blend, serving as a bridge between the past and the future. If you are looking for an unusual item for your home or a gift, our handmade products, reflecting warmth and love, will be an excellent choice for you.
In our gallery, you can see not only works of art but also masterpieces that bear witness to our culture, which inspires us and will inspire future generations.
