Plate “Dastagul-u madokhil” (bouquet of flowers). Gijduvan. 2025.
The plate is titled “Dastagul-u madokhil”. It was fired in a traditional pottery kiln – a humdon – at a temperature of 980–1000°C, which makes the piece resistant to both heat and cold. Traditional Gijduvan ceramics typically use eight different colors.
The “Dastagul-u madokhil” motif is one of the traditional patterns frequently used by Gijduvan potters. These designs are stylized forms inspired by animals, birds, plants, and flowers. Such motifs traditionally symbolize happiness, abundance, and peace.
